Yes folks its finally here the stunning George Way drum kit brought all the way from Canada from the home of genius Mr Ronn Dunnett. For those who know the name Ronn Dunnett will know what he does not know about drums is not worth knowing. Ronn famous for his drum building and branding with his Dunnett Drums is keeping a live the historic brand of George Way.
George Way history can be checked on by clicking this link, famous in the drum world for his work with Leedy drums, Camco Drums, Rogers drums and the original GHW Drums.
The drum kit which has arrived with us is the only one available here in the UK and one of many we are expecting and currently having built.
The George Way shown in the pictures below comprises of a thin ply Mahogany Shell with single nut boxes. The sizes comprise of an 18" bass which is 14" deep a 12" x 8" rack tom and a 14" x 14" floor tom featuring the slotted floor tom legs for better positioning and better grip. The drum kit shell are a satin/oil almost organic finish truly showing off all the grain.
Having played the kit it really does remind you of the old sounding Mahogany WFL drum shells when tuned correctly, very low tones yet still warm like Maple drums.
Another cool little feature of this kit is the old style bass drum T rods which help to give the kit that vintage look.
