Introducing The Special Edition Roland TD-30K

Roland introduce a new special drum kit.

This morning I found out that Roland have been working on something pretty cool recently… A special edition electronic drum kit!

This special edition drum kit, also known as the TD-30KSE, is a mixture of parts and features from the TD-30K and TD-30KV, two of the best electronic drum kits around!

This new drum kit is packed with professional features but without the professional price tag… Just what every drummer loves to hear!

As well as it’s affordable price tag and feature-packed components, this drum kit also currently comes with 5 year FREE warranty, another reason why the TD-30K special edition drum kit is the talk of the town!

What’s different?

As I said previously, this special edition drum kit has been created from taking the best of the Roland TD-30K and TD-30KV electronic drum kits and combining them into one! The special edition TD-30KSE was built with the TD-30K as a base, and then some parts taken away, replaced and also added on to bring you a brand new and improved configuration for 2013!

The VH-11 hi hat pads found on the TD-30K have been replaced by VH-13-MG hi hats which feature an improved motion sensor for that all important natural hi hat response. A PD-128S-BC 12” V-Pad has been added which brings you a better rim sensor, ideal for accurate rim-shots. The PD-128 V-Pad, originally used as a snare on the TD-30K is moved and turned into an extra floor tom creating a larger, more versatile drum kit.

Now you’ve read about what’s been added and changed you’re probably wondering why the rest wasn’t changed too?

Well, the idea of the TD-30K special edition electronic drum kit was to take the best features from the two high-end drum kits and bring them together, creating a new version, and that’s exactly what’s been done.

So, the KD-120BK Kick pad and each of the PDX-100 toms have been kept the same to create a more compact set-up, which is what many drummers prefer. The TD-30 drum module is used with this new drum kit too. the TD-30 module is powered by SuperNATURAL sounds and behaviour modelling, brining you superior sound quality and the utmost natural playing response. The Roland TD-30KSE also comes with all the standard features such as USB port, so you can plug your USB stick into your drum kit for back-up and adding audio with WAV and MP3 files. There’s also a separate USB-MIDI port for computer connectivity.
