How Good Was Gretsch Drum Day..?

Thank You All That Came.

What A Great Day For Drummers.

Yes, what a great day was had by all that came to our very special Gretsch Drum Day We had lots of Gretsch drum kits, LP percussion, Toca percussion and Gibraltar hardware and service parts products at hand for everyone to try out. Iestyn, the Gretsch representative was on hand to help everyone out with all there all important questions about anything Gretsch, LP, Toca and Gibraltar related. He did himself and Drumshop UK very proud indeed, so a special “THANK YOU” goes out to Iestyn for giving us his time off on this very hot Saturday.

Later on at around 12:30, Stevie (BONGO) Blakeburn came into the store to begin and coach a lot of customers (drummers and non drummers) in what we call a drum-circle. Basically, anything percussion, things you hit or even shake. The Gretsch Catalina Street was in the centre of the circle for anyone to try while the others played cajons, djembes, blocks, cowbells and many mnore. This amazing drum-circle went on for a good hour and a half to two hours on and off with different people coming and going. There were some great grooves and rhythms going on. A definite success which we will be looking to do again some day soon, so keep a look out for our future drum-circles. Again, another big “THANK YOU” goes out to Stevie Bongo, who gave us a lot of his time and effort on this sizzling Saturday afternoon.
