Meinl Byzance Range at Drum Shop UK

Over the past week or so I’ve been working towards getting Meinls Byzance Series uploaded to drum Shop UK and now they’re available to view! 

The Byzance Series I’ve added include:

• Traditional
• Brilliant
• Dark
• Jazz

Each and every cymbal in the Byzance Series has been hand hammered into shape, meaning they are all individual and create a unique sound that can never be duplicated, which is pretty special!

It is easy to recognise which cymbals belong to which series as they seem to follow a close theme, for example, the Traditional Series tend to be very plain and simple – classic looking, which reflects the 'traditional’ name. Whereas the Dark Series appearance is to another extreme, with a un-lathed, dark, rough looking finish.

The Dark Series is my favourite from Meinls Byzance, because they are bit out of the ordinary, they almost create their own identity, not only through their appearance but sound also. They are able to create a distinguished earthy sound that you will recognise over and over again. The low frequency these cymbals produce gives off a mysterious characteristic that will have you gripped!
