Drumshop UK are very proud to announce that Johnny will be gracing us in person at our Craviotto dedicated stall at this years London Drum Show from 8th November to 9th November 2014, to be held at Olympia Conference Centre, London. Drumshop UK are the only drum shop in the whole of the United Kingdom stocking Craviotto custom built, hand-crafted drum kits and snare drums.
Johnny Craviotto began his music career back in the early 1960’s drumming with rock ‘n roll pioneers such as Ry Cooder, Buffy St. Marie, Moby Grape and Neil Young. His career now nearly spans over 50yrs in the music business.
In the 1970’s Johnny took a fancy to classic vintage drums and started collecting them. He then started to study the art of drum building learning about the history, the mechanisms and the construction of drums. With his build up knowledge of vintage drums and how they should be built Johnny developed the now famous solid, steam-bent drums that we now know so well today as custom built, hand crafted drums..
Drumshop UK are big fans of Craviotto drums and we just can’t wait when we order new Craviotto snare drums and drum kits for them to come into our store. We love to unpack them from the 3 protective boxes that they come into us. All you hear is a big “Ooooo”, when a drum comes out of it’s box and followed by “How nice is that?” Craviotto are definitely the Gentleman Drum kit, if it was a sofa it would be a Chesterfield, if it was a car it would be a Bentley. There is no doubt that Craviotto hand crafted drums are one of the finest drums available and are highly collectable to those who love the nicer things in life.
Now celebrating his 10th Anniversary of building and manufacturing hand crafted drums there are a select few of limited edition drum kits and snare drums which have been built to celebrate the 10th anniversary and yes, we have a couple in stock. These drum kits and snare drums are very rare and very exclusive to the drumming world. They are pretty nice too.
