Its rare that I get time to sit down and write a blog but after 16 hours flying to Los Angeles to this years 2015 NAMM show I thought I would share some of the new things to hit our shores here in the UK very soon.
For those who don't know NAMM is where all the musical instrument guys and gals come together from new inventors with cool and crazy products to the giants such as Fender and Roland to show off all their goodies.
My first stop every year is to see the wonderful Mr Craviotto this is a passion thing, my heart ruling my head and my budget all spent up within the first 5 minutes on his booth. This man knows how to make drums and is a true part of drumming history.
Both Paul and I were invited to the Nfuzd stand to see the new offering for Acoustic drums going electronic, this concept is really cool and it comprises of pads sitting onto your existing drum with no fuss or removing drum heads, once we get some more info we will get it posted on here.
The next stop had to be the wonderful Mr Mehmet and the new Tony Williams cymbal sets, these cymbals sounded awesome genuine Turkish cymbals which are on a limited edition run boxed set. We managed to get twenty sets but most are sold already...
So much to see and do but an appointment was looming with Drum Workshop AKA DW, this was no surprise to see that they have some awesome new colours and new kits in the mix of which we have ordered many.
Here's a few snaps from my iPhone but hopefully tomorrow we will have a blog and better pictures up loaded with prices etc.
