Just the other day, a fairly grey overcast day, we took a delivery of around about sixteen boxes. From breaking the seal and removing the 10" rack tom I was instantly taken aback by the beautiful finish and brushed nickel coated lugs of the all new Natal Originals Birch in Sunburst Fade.
Now a few people may not be as familiar with the Natal name but these drum kits are here to show that these guys are serious contenders. A rock solid, robust and extremely dynamic work horse with a finish that matches it's hearty sound.
To paraphrase what I mentioned earlier these kits are "workhorses" which is a term that is thrown around often. Now ask yourself, what really is a work horse kit? and how will it benefit me?
To kick it off lets look at the base of these Natal drum kits. The solid foundation that is an all birch 7ply shell. This creates a perfect mid scoop whilst also boosting the top end frequencies making it an extremely versatile wood, especially adaptable for studio and live work. The hardware is solid and refined, boasting Natal's unique sun lugs with hardware that will take all the beatings of the road. This proves that this drum kit is not going to let you down.
Now I, like every other drummer, know that anyone can talk about a drum kit. Say it boosts this and that. I can tell you that the finish will melt your face while the tone of floor tom will make you break down in to tears. In the end pictures nor any description can really do this kit the justice it deserves.
The answer? come and see this Natal drum kit for yourself? Come try it out and see what it is all about! I can't promise face melting but I can promise that you that this kit will, most definitely blow you away!
This Sun burst drum kit arrived with in a US fusion set up:
