We try not to be biased but Drum Workshop drums (DW) have always been a favourite of ours at drumshop and it's for a few simple reasons... They look super cool, they sound amazing, they can do custom orders and many top, well respected artists proudly sit behind their DW drum kit!
We thought it was about time we got some new DW drums in our North East drum shop and so once NAMM was over, we began to put some extra special orders together! Since then, we have taken delivery of most of the Drum Workshop drum kits and snare drums, but we're just waiting for one more to arrive with us which (in my opinion) is one of the coolest drum kits we've ever ordered!
I contacted the guys at DW to see if they could make up a very special drum kit for us and sure enough the answer was yes! The decision was left in my hands, so I chose to order a drum kit as played by *drum roll*... Dave Grohl! (Pun intended.)
So yeah, we're currently waiting on Dave Grohl's drum kit to come into stock! (hmm well not actually his drum kit but a replica!)
The replica artist drum kit has the exact same custom lacquer finish as the original. The Laser Blue finish looks incredible against the chrome drum fittings and the bass drums black lacquer hoops. Grohl plays the Laser Blue DW drum kit with his band 'Them Crooked Vultures'. Even the drum kit configuration is the same as Grohl's set-up, minus a few alternate/concert toms.

Mick Fleetwood is best known as being the drummer of Fleetwood Mac, but he also played in other bands, such as John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Spinal Tap (2000) and The Bo Street Runners. The DW kit that Mick Fleetwood uses is a Collector's Series Maple in Natural Lacquer over Exotic Quilted Maple.
Thomas Lang started playing the drums at a very young age of 5 and has played with some really big names from Deep Purple to the Spice Girls, he has been a solo artist and has even won some impressive awards for his work in drum clinics and his talent! The DW drum kit he uses for his drum clinics and solo performances is this beautiful DW Collector's Series Custom drum kit in solid black lacquer.
Neil Peart is best known as the drummer for Rush and in 2010, he used the beautiful R40 kit with Exotic Bog Oak Timeless Timber Shells and the Laser Cut Wood Logo Inlays over Black for the bands "R40 tour".
