All New Yamaha DTX6 Range

JUST LANDED: Yamaha DTX6 Electronic Drum Kits

We are super excited to announce the latest addition to Yamaha's range of Electronic Drum Kits, the DTX6! All new mid-range kits with professional and high end features and quality.

The History of Yamaha

Yamaha is a huge musical instruments manufacturer that originates from as early as 1887 when Torakusu Yamaha built his first reed organ, and went on to start production of upright pianos in 1900!

Production of their first drums started in 1967 with the D20 and D30 at their original production facility, which utilised the Air Seal System that is still a vital part of their manufacturing today. In 1977 Yamaha produced the YD9000 Recording Custom Kit, with 100% birch shells. Then in 1986, Yamaha was one of the earlier players in the electronic drum kit market, when they unleashed their PMC-1 kit, which at the time was incredibly futuristic. 10 years later, the DTX name was born, and from then on, all Yamaha electronic drum kits are prefixed by this name...

Which brings us onto the newest addition - the Yamaha DTX6 range!

The DTX6 Series

The Yamaha DTX6 is aimed at "all drummers who need a compact kit and want to have fun, play like a pro and easily transfer their skills to acoustic drums."

Centered around the next generation DTXPRO drum module, the DTX6 series boasts over 700 sounds arranged into 40 preset kits, along with slots for 200 user kits. But, most importantly, Yamaha have included a new feature: "kit modifiers", these are control knobs on the module that allow you to alter the ambience, compression and other effects in real-time! Packed with tons of features all perfect for any type of drummer, the Yamaha DTX6 is definitely a contender for our favourite new kit of 2021!

Our favourite features:

  • Over 700 sounds, 40 preset kits and 200 slots for user kits.
  • Samles recorded in some of the best studios in Euroe.
