As some of you may know, Craig Blundell and Roland drums brought the Hybrid Tour to Drumshop on August 3rd. The drum clinic had a great turn out with drummers of all ages. Craig is such a talented drummer and we were super excited to be apart of this drum clinic tour. Throughout the show, Craig demonstrated playing acoustic and electronic drum kits together aka 'Hybrid'. This unique way of playing is becoming popular so it was interesting to see Craig's take on the technique. Craig was using Roland triggers along with the Roland OCTAPAD SPD-30, you can see Craig work his magic in a 2012 video below. You can also see the newly published video all about Hybrid drums.
Craig arrived to Drumshop early for soundcheck and it was really fun in the web room to listen to him practice. The clinic was absolutely amazing and everyone left feeling inspired to try out playing hybrid.
