The passing of the iconic Johnny Craviotto in 2016 signified quite rightly that his legacy will always live on in the fantastic drum kits that will continue to be made in his honour. Johnny Craviotto was a true craftsman and his love of drums was blatantly apparent, a love which has been undoubtedly built into each and every drum that passes through Craviotto's doors.
Our own way of paying tribute to the legend himself is to continuously support the brand he built from the ground up, so we are here you to tell you about our latest Craviotto piece, fresh from the USA, a truly outstanding 3-piece drum kit that is not only a perfect taste of Craviotto but a true reminder of how great a man Johnny Craviotto was. This maple with maple inlay Craviotto USA Custom drum kit is incredibly all purpose and not only that, it looks brilliantly traditional as well as being super versatile.
This kit features Solid Maple with Maple inlays shells, solid shells have the ability to produce an even amount of highs and mids whilst being able to produce dramatic warm lows, ideal for producing versatile compositions in any setting! The warmth that these drums produce are nothing short of crystal clear when it comes to sound clarity. Clear, Concise and Resonant, Craviotto really do pre-empt everything you'll need and put it in place ready for you to focus on the important stuff, your sound.
One thing we can say about Craviotto is that the finishes are timeless, this particular kit has a beautifully natural maple finish which is subject to a Natural Satin Oil finish which of course has been hand finished to perfection. The iconic Craviotto drum badge graces each and every drum, the symbol of undoubted innovation, craftsmanship and quality. It doesn't seem to matter what place or time you place this drum kit it has an effortless classic air which is glowingly apparent in this high end drum kit and in fact the Craviotto name itself. Each drum features 45 Degree Bearing Edges on both the top and bottom of the shell. These sharp bearing edges produce stunning attack and sustain for lively, “modern” sounds, with considerably more harmonic overtones, which makes the drum sound brighter.
The distinctive diamond tube lugs are distinctive and a signature design from Johnny Craviotto. After being enamoured by the unique diamond design Johnny knew that the diamond had to be part of his own line of drums and he wasn't wrong, the design adds a level of finesse and finery to the drums highlighting that no detail is too small to matter.
