Born from the Passion of Porsche, these snares the most limited edition you can get! A true Drum Shop collaboration, our very own Andy Anderson combined his love of cars and drums to help create these Porsche inspired snare, but you'll find out more about that later...
Founded by Ronn Dunnett in 1978, who is now the most influential custom drumsmith alive, due to the fact that the components he produces end up on so many other manufacturers' drums. He creates some of the most popular and beautiful drums. By 1994 Ron has designed, developed and built several prototypes based on his own concepts, simple innovation and what he felt was lacking from existing products at that time. This includes the creation of the very well known titanium drum which also was the first titanium drum ever created. The result of all that work resulted in the perfection of Titanium and Stainless Steel snare drums which nowadays are played and used by some of the most influential drummers, producers and studio engineers. Dunnett Classic drums don't sound so good by chance. The sound has been meticulously engineered. Ronn has put years into research & development, but even that work has to come from an idea. Dunnett Classic Drums are crafted to the finest details and each drum can be described in four words: Architecture, Innovation, Value and Truth.
Ronn's top-end Carbon Steel shells are handcrafted to give excellent range, being able to reach a higher fundamental pitch than aluminium and steel shells, whilst still offering punch and midrange clarity to die for!
Did you notice some of the snares are different? That's because they're Ronn's revolutionary Model 2Ns! Ludwig's Supraphonic snares have to be one of the industries most iconic and memorable drum, and so Ronn set out to re-invent them. By re-designing the snares with new innovations Ronn was able to both, modernise and improve them!
Inspired by Porsche and executed by Andy Anderson and Ronn Dunnett, each high-carbon steel shell is given an uncommon warmth and balance by the finish, making them all stunningly timeless. These snares combine both the vintage feel of the old Porsche colours with new design!
