Exclusive George Way Aristocrat Drum Kits
Brand new and exclusive in all of Europe, The George Way Aristocrat Drum Kits are on their way to Drum Shop UK in 2 different stunning finishes: Piano Black and Wine Red Lacquer.
Who is George Way?
George Way was a drumming pioneer from Boston, studying drums with the legendary George B. Stone. The history is vast from this fine man who created such things as 'The Chinese Sneeze' which is now known the world over as the China cymbal from all the brands such as Zildjian, Istanbul Mehmet, Sabian, Paiste and more. The history goes on and on even at the age of 71 he was hired by the legendary Rogers brand of drums. Sadly, at the age of 79 (1969), George Harrison Way passes away and leaves the George Way Drum Company dormant until 2006 when it is acquired by another legend of the drumming world, Mr Ronn Dunnett of Dunnett Drums.
The Aristocrat Drum Kits
Both kits feature the newly designed and beautifully built Art Deco Single Ended Lugs, designed by the one and only George Way back in 1953! The vintage feel and elegant sound is reminiscent of the kits made by the late George Way in the 50's.
This rare acoustic drum kit offers a versatile and unique sound, as well as a range of brand new and unique features such as Way double edge-double flange hoops, double end streamline casings, Waybest Arch Spurs and Die Cast Bass Drum Claws with T Handles. With a vintage feel and a beautiful sound, look no further than the George Way Aristocrat Studio Drum Kit.
The Piano Black Aristocrat kit boasts a warm tone with incredible quality and a very vintage sound thanks to it's 4-ply Maple/Poplar Shell; While the Wine Red Kit carrys a fat warm tone with its 4-Ply Mahogany Shell. Both kits are available with the following size configuration:
- 18" x 14" Bass Drum
- 12" x 8" Tom
- 14" x 14" Floor Tom
