Came into work today to see that we have just received one of the coolest little products, they are the Meinl cymbal tuners. These nifty little magnets were designed by Benny Greb who is a German drummer.
The Meinl cymbal tuners are easy compatible as they are small and light making them easy to stow away and take on your travels. These tuners are very strong magnets that can dampen the tone, adjust the volume and optimise the sound of your cymbals. Because of these cymbal tuners being so small they are the easy way to tweak the sounds of your cymbals to the way that you want.

As you can see in the video, Benny shows that if you set the magnets in different positions on the cymbal you get different sounds for example if the tuners are closer to the edge of the cymbal then the dampening is stronger. Also when you buy these tuners you receive 2 pairs of magnets, 1 big set and 1 small set. The larger magnets create a heavy cymbal damping whereas the smaller magnets create a light cymbal damping.
They are quick and easy to use thats why they are so popular. They appeal to all drummers as the sound can be altered to suit each persons preference.
