When there's drum kits this cool landing at Drum Shop, we feel like it's our duty to shout about them and let you guys know why they're so damn great! One of the most recent drum kits to land is the Natal Cafe Racer Series of drum kits and the finishes will stop you in your tracks, make your mouth water and your eyes light up all with one glance at these flawless finishes!
You may have noticed the vintage vibes that seem to ooze from these drums and there is an ideal behind those vibes. The Cafe Racer Series has taken a significant surge of inspiration from the vintage cars of yesteryear, think Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaro's and of course the very British Mini Cooper and think of the stunning finishes they hold and then you will see the direct inspo behind Cafe Racer. From Sea Foam Green to Oxblood Red, Champagne Sparkle to British Racing Green and all the finishes that lie in between, there is no disputing the top spec approach that Natal have taken to make these drums look beautiful.
With a 7-ply tulipwood shell base, these drums have the ability to produce a dry and focussed sound that is brimming with warmth and projection perfect for a range of settings, atmospheres and of course styles of music. The professional quality of Cafe Racer is glaringly obvious, we've mentioned the stunning finishes but the professionalism doesn't stop there, the shell has a rounded hand finished 45 degree bearing edges, Tru-Tune tension rods, NRM Aluminium Ball Tom Mounting System and hardwearing telescopic bass drum spurs. Not only that the Natal sun logo drum badge and Natal high mass chrome plated zinc sun lugs are also included to round off these drums.
Overall the Natal Cafe Racer Series has a familiar sound that is vintage inspired, that classic sound of vintage americana but with so many more benefits than that of true vintage kits. Available in three configurations, you're sure to find a size that suits your style:
Natal Cafe Racer 4 Piece US Fusion 22" Shell Pack (22" x 18" Bass Drum, 16" x 16" Floor Tom, 12" x 9" Tom, 10" x 8" Tom)
Natal Cafe Racer 3 Piece Traditional Jazz 18" Shell Pack (18" x 14" Bass Drum, 14" x 14" Floor Tom, 12" x 8" Tom)
Natal Cafe Racer 3 Piece Traditional 20" Shell Pack (20" x 16" Bass Drum, 14" x 14" Floor Tom, 12" x 8" Tom)
