Have you ever wondered what 'The Art of Drumming' really is? We are not just the musicians who sit in the back and keep in time, we have something very valid and unique to offer and thanks to Steve White's new and progressive Sky Arts documentary 'The Art of Drumming' Steve has put a brand new focus on the world of drumming and more importantly shone a well deserved light on some of today's drumming legends. Gone are the days when we patiently wait in the background, it's well overdue and it's now the age of the drummer and thanks to Mr Steve White, this comprehensive documentary is the first docu-series ever made for TV purely on drumming.
Steve has been heavily involved in the research, creation and production of this series and has had the chance to work with and interview over 38 of the world’s finest drummers. Steve himself is a well known and respected drummer who is an old friend of Drum Shop and is a drumming icon in his own right, however for this documentary he has placed his focus on learning more about the crazy world of drumming and the drummers within it. Steve's behind the scenes knowledge and on screen charisma makes you feel like you're listening to an old friend and this is the type of vibe you can expect from his upcoming drum clinic. The widely anticipated Steve White 'The Art of Drumming' Drum Clinic is happening on Thursday 18th October 2018 at 7pm and not only will the popular documentary be discussed, Steve will be busting some grooves and showering us with his immense drumming knowledge and skills, again a night that is certainly not to be missed!
The documentary features interviews with Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Chad Smith, Thomas Lang and Steve Smith to name but a few and begs the question what is the art of drumming? Now we will all have different perceptions and views on this but the Steve White 'The Art of Drumming' Drum Clinic opens up a discussion on just this topic.
If you loved the documentary so far then this drumming event will be right up your street, if you love drumming and interacting with the drumming community then you need to get yourself a ticket to the drum clinic of the year! This clinic gives you the chance to Steve ask any questions without the banging and clattering of drum kits in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Tickets are £10 each, for those who wish to attend this widely anticipated drum clinic then all you need to do to purchase a ticket is click here. This is a fantastic opportunity to speak to Steve and ask any questions from drumming, studio work, how to get into the business or simply have a chat.
