Revered as one of the most legendary names in drum history, Slingerland brings the same craftsmanship and sonic excellence that made it famous in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
Founded in 1912 by Henry Heanon Slingerland, as a banjo company. Later, they added drums and the Slingerland Drum Company became a household name in the drumming world. Known for their impeccable craftsmanship and signature Radio King snare drums, Slingerland kits were the heartbeat of countless big band performances during the golden era of jazz. Iconic drummers like Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich helped cement Slingerland’s legendary status.
The brand has recently been purchased by DW and after 2 decades of Radio King's being out of production the legacy continues with this new limited-edition release.
Crafted to capture the essence of its vintage predecessor, the new Radio King snare drum offers drummers the perfect combination of nostalgic charm and modern precision.
Key Features Include:
Only 50 units of each size and finish will ever be made. Drummers can choose between 5"x14" or 7"x14" sizes in stunning finishes like Black Diamond Pearl, White Marine Pearl, Blue & Silver Lacquer, and Black & Gold Lacquer.
Each drum will be individually numbered and signed by DW founder Don Lombardi.
