Yamaha unveiled the brand new 9000 Recording Custom series at this years NAMM show in LA. We were so excited about these new drums that we ordered them right there on the spot.
They have now finally arrived here at Drumshop and we couldn't be happier! Yamaha have out done themselves; the Yamaha 9000 Recording Custom series is heavenly....
The Yamaha 9000 series was designed alongside Steve Gadd and for the past three years, he has been meeting with Yamaha's research and development team to successfully bring back and modify the legendary Recording Custom series which is one of the world's most recorded drums in studios.
Built with 6 plies of all american birch, these drum shells deliver a focused sound that is complimented by the intense rounded and deeper tone. Complete with 30 degree bearing edges along with newly designed high tension lugs. The weight of the tension lugs has been well thought out and taken into consideration as they now enhance lower frequencies. The new designed Yamaha drum kit allows you to tune your drums easily which is a huge help when it comes to setting up at gigs. On the contrary of what some people may think, the recording custom isn't just for recording, it also is a fantastic drum kit for live performances that will really allow you shine on stage. Many times over the years I have have used the classic 9000 drums and they just work, other well known brands I would have been tweeting the tuning throughout the gig but the Yamaha kit just worked every time, the sound guys always loved the Yamaha drums.
Whether you play rock, metal, jazz or pop, this drum kit is perfect for all drummers! You can even pick from a choice of 4 stunning finishes; Real Wood, Classic Walnut, Solid Black, Surf Green. Remember to check out the new Yamaha 9000 snare drums here on our website simply click here
