Ahead have now brought out the Crossroads series they have an aluminum core with a hard wood cover giving you even more durability. The tip and cover are replaceable so no need to buy a whole new pair of stick when you think they have worn down. Even though these Ahead drumsticks are wood covered the shock absorption and vibrations are very little.
