Promark "Bring Your Own Style" Sticks
Percussion instructor and shop owner Herb Brochestein founded Promark back in 1957, in Houston, Texas where it's still based today! Since it's first years, Promark has became a widely known stick company, being the first company to introduce Japanese Shira-Kashi white oak into the American market, successfully becoming the only company to market oak sticks in the United States, and, in 2011, they became part of D'Addario. More recently, they have chosen to use non-endangered wood and a "green" finishing process, this makes their sticks and manufacturing process safer to each of their players and to the environment!
The Promark "Bring Your Own Style" - BYOS Hickory Oval Wood Tip Drumsticks are marching snare sticks that feature large oval, wooden tips and lacquer finished hickory shaft. The medium taper and large tip makes these sticks able to provide the necessary output volume needed for any situation, not only are they able to achieve projection during indoor marching performances, they excel outdoor too! This stick is super dynamic too, Promark engineered it to function as both a traditional marching tool and a well-balanced show-style trick stick. The grip ring on the butt end isn't just there to look good, it offers added comfortable grip while executing stick tricks. Hickory isn't the most popular wood choice for no reason, it produces amazing resilience, responsiveness, durability and classic feel.
