Description
Promark Stephen Creighton Sticks in ActiveGrip
Percussion instructor and shop owner Herb Brochestein founded Promark back in 1957, in Houston, Texas where it's still based today! Since it's first years, Promark has became a widely known stick company, being the first company to introduce Japanese Shira-Kashi white oak into the American market, successfully becoming the only company to market oak sticks in the United States, and, in 2011, they became part of D'Addario. More recently, they have chosen to use non-endangered wood and a "green" finishing process, this makes their sticks and manufacturing process safer to each of their players and to the environment!
The Promark Stephen Creighton Painted White Pipe Band Drumsticks feature oval-shaped heads with a gradual taper throughout the entire stick and maple shafts. The oval-shaped heads are wooden to produce excellent rebound when performing on high-tension pipe snares. Maple is a very light wood which allows for a large diameter stick without the weight.
What really sets these sticks aside from the rest is Promark's patented heat activated grip, ActiveGrip is a coating solution that reacts to body temperature, getting tackier as a player's hands sweat and their body temperature rises! With this feature you are able to obtain complete control when you need it most, so no matter how hard you play, ActiveGrip works even harder to help you handle it, whilst adding no additional weight to the stick.
