The 'Pit' sections of the best bands, indoor percussion ensembles, and DCI Championship corps have continued to favour Corpsmaster sticks and mallets season after season since these goods were first introduced.

The hickory shafts on the marching bass mallets are tapered, which shifts the stick's weight towards the hand for better balance and control. The hitting surface is constant with spherical heads.
