The Evans Hydraulic Black snare drum head is complete with a ply of 7.5mil film and a ply of 6.5mil film along with a layer of oil between the two plies. The oil provides extra durability along with delivering a fat, deep and short sound that is the classic 70's rock and roll sound. Evans Hydraulic drum heads are known for being extremely easy to tune making set up much quicker.
