Mapex bring you a brand new Saturn shell pack, the Saturn V Tour Edition 3 Piece Shell Pack is a new addition to the Saturn range of kits and is one of three configurations we have available here at Drum Shop. The 24" drum kit configuration is the largest of the three and retains the same hybrid Maple/Walnut shell and SONIClear Bearing Edge technology that makes the other Saturn kits from the range so special. The distinctive sound and easy tuning is as apparent in this kit as any of the Saturn kits, but what sets this kit apart is the classic, flawless finishes that oozes timeless beauty.
With a hybrid Maple/Walnut base you know the sound it produces is bound to be resonant. Grasping all the great qualities from both hardwoods it produces a rich tone which is capable of a strong attack as well as an all purpose sound paired with equal amounts of mid-high tones. It delivers the distinctive sound that Saturn kits are known and loved for. A firm favourite with gigging or touring drummers, this kit is quick and easy to set up, not only that it is ideal if you want to add more to the initial shell pack, as you can purchase additional drums should you wish. SONIClear™ bearing edges are an influential factor that makes the Saturn such a successful drum kit, the tuning process is undeniably streamlined and is much simpler than ever before. Increased contact between the edge and head of the drum, makes for a more distinct sound that is more well rounded than ever before and aids players achieving great sound quickly. Bass drum spurs and claw hooks, protect the hoop from damage during prolonged drumming sessions.
Four classic wrapped finishes are available to choose from in this particular configuration; Black Strata Pearl, Black Pearl, Vintage Sparkle and White Marine Pearl.
