Ahead AHSHPC 14" Chavez Arsenal Black S-Hoop Marching Pad
The Chavez Arsenal Series from Ahead is the brain child of Ahead in collaboration with legendary percussionist Chavez Lowe. The Chavez Marching Pad like all of the Ahead practice pads has an excellent ability to reflect the sound of a real life drum. The rimmed pad reflects the feel of a marching drum and is incredibly realistic. This is a considerably beneficial feature as it allows you to practice and perform to your full ability on the practice pad before you transfer your skill onto the real thing! Similar to the Ahead AHSHP and AHSHPB models this marching pad has a black carbon fibre surface and a steel S-Hoop, not only that this model features a resonator sound chamber is directly under the centre of the marching pad and it creates additional tones that are much more rewarding than the sounds of a traditional practice pad.
Please Note: It is recommended you used Nylon Tip Drumsticks with this practice pad. The carbon fibre surface will wear quickly if you choose to use Wooden Tip Drumsticks, therefore Nylon Tips are recommended. Replacement surfaces are available here.
