New for 2017, Pro-Mark have taken one step further in their quest for impeccable quality, by introducing the Pro-Mark FireGrain drumsticks, a series of sticks that have been hardened by flame to fully enhance your playing experience. A well known process which has been floating around for years, but has been beautifully perfected by Pro-Mark to create FireGrain. The process uses the hickory base and removes the moisture, whilst also hardening the core of the hardwood. The heat-tempering process allows the already diverse hickory to become more resilient and responsive which in turn enhances your drumming.

The hickory sticks are renowned for providing extra rebound and being extremely durable even before the heat-tempering, so just imagine the enhancements once the sticks have been subject to the flames. This particular pair of drumsticks has oval wood tips which produce a large and diverse range of sound, whilst it's wooden base provides a dark, warm and undeniably full range of sound. A classic size pair of drumsticks, the 5A size is ideal for use in orchestral settings as well as being a middle of the road in terms of thickness, the 0.551" diameter is not as thick as say a pair of 2B drumsticks and not as thin as 7A drumsticks, perfect for a wide range of applications.
