The Ahead 14" x 6" Black Chrome on 3mm Bell Brass Snare Drum with Chrome Trick Throw-Off is a Special Order item now available at Drum Shop. The shell of this snare drum is made from 3mm cast bell bronze brass, a material that is commonly used when creating cymbals. The unique shell material creates a striking balance of crispness yet on the other end of the spectrum complete dryness. This snare has a fantastic projection capacity, like many of the other Ahead snare drums it also has the ability to deliver sensitivity and clarity with every stroke.
This snare features staples which are found on many other Ahead snares, such as a Trick Throw-Off, S-Hoop counter hoops, Fat Cat Dual Adjustable Snappy Snare Wires, Remo Heads and TightScrew Tension Rods. TightScrew Tension Rods are designed to avoid detuning, allowing you to have perfect tuning every time, the Fat Cat Snare Wires deliver a sensitive yet professional sound that professional drummers need and the S-Hoops create super projection when it's most needed. The Trick Throw-Off allows for smooth and accurate use, a single step process allows for quick changes between on and off, quiet or smooth!
