Each Custom Shop instrument is constructed from a single, solid board of hand-selected premium grade hardwood. Along with Johnny’s unique bending process, they cure and hand finish each shell to ensure strength, stability, and unparalleled performance. Known for its bright, punchy sound with excellent projection, birch can produce a boosted high-end and midrange frequency response, making it ideal for cutting through in a mix. The lows are also tight and focused.
