This snare is a much lighter weight than the other steel drums in this collection. The drum is rolled from pure stainless steel with stainless steel true pitch tension rods. This is a true workhorse snare it can fit into all situations they are quite like some of the most popular brass drums of the past but with a lot less muffling required.
