This snare is engineered with a 1.2mm hammered steel shell. The hammered process not only looks appealing but adds to the tonal complexity, depth and dryness of the sound. Typically the steel shell gives a bright and penetrating sound, which are made more complex and enhanced due to the way the sound waves reflect off the hammered shell texture.
