The man, the legend that is George Way has done it again and brings you another fantastic George Way snare drum. The George Way Tradition Series 14" x 6.5" Mahogany Snare Drum has a 100% Mahogany shell and this has an overall effect on the sounds and tones produced from the snare drum itself. Mahogany shells allow for lively and resonant sounds that are littered with an even midrange and a rich, warm low end. The electronically bonded reinforced shell rings give an otherwise thin shell, increased attack and focus, in so delivering a thicker, fuller sound when playing. AA Chrome plating is standard on all metal parts used within any George Way drums, as well as the iconic stamp of approval, which is the concise Geo Way badge. This 14" x 6.5" snare drum features Dunnett Res-O-Tone heads crafted by Remo and an 845 Geo Way Throw off, better known as 'Beer Tap Throw Off' because of its pull down mechanism; it is quick and simple to use, very popular for those looking for single-bolt replacement.
The finish on this snare drum does not disappoint and is very representative of the George Way Drum Company and where its story began way back when. The 100% Mahogany shell finished in Matte Natural gloss lacquer is a snare drum we're sure George himself would have loved to turn his hand to!
