Marching bass drummers this one's for you! The Ahead Marching Bass Drum Practice Pad comes from the Chavez Arsenal Series; a series which was created in collaboration with legendary percussionist Chavez Lowe. It is a decent sized practice pad that has been deigned to reflect the sound of a variety of bass drum heads. 10" black mesh heads are used and they respond just like an actual drum would but with near enough no sound, not only this the mesh heads are replaceable, so you don't have to worry about being precious when you're practicing. This practice pad has targeted areas which reflect different tones with the ability to be quickly rotated, it also has an adjustable head tension, so one minute you can be playing a simulated 22" bass drum, the next a 32" bass! Incredibly realistic, you will find the transition from workout pad to bass drum hassle free and easy, it's a smooth transition that is one of the major benefits of this pad.
As with all Ahead practice pads, they have a great ability to improve your technique and accuracy without the volume that would damage your ears. Ideal for students or beginners wanting to get in that all important practice or one of the pros, a versatile practice pad that is nearly as good as the real thing.
