You have the choice of two colour schemes with the Korg LCD MA-2 metronome… black and red or blue and black.
The new and improved MA-2 is the must-have metronome! In addition to the basic functionality, such as a wide tempo range and a generous number of beats and rhythm patterns, the MA-2 also provides some more user friendly features such as an improved display, loud, crisp sound, and even more functions like the timer mode!
The MA-2 features a display that is 30% larger than the MA-1, making it massively more readable and understandable. The enhanced volume includes a newly designed powerful electronic buzzer that wont be buried by high volumes or high frequencies when playing. You can chose from three different methods of setting the tempo: The pendulum step lets you specify a numeric value like on a mechanical metronome; the full step lets you specify the tempo in one-step increments; and the tap tempo lets you specify the tempo by pressing a button in tim with the song you are playing.
On the MA-2 you can use the timer mode and sound out mode for daily practicing as well as using the basic metronome functions. The timer mode allows you to set an alarm to sound after a set amount of time (between one and 120 minutes), which is great for warming up or practicing the basics! For the sound out mode, a reference tone is emitted from the built-in speaker as a guide for tuning. You can select the reference tone in the one-octave range of C4–B4.
