Decades of Johnny Craviotto's know how as a master drum builder have gone into the construction of this masterpiece as his legacy lives on. Only the highest graded maple boards were used in the steam bending process that produced these perfect shells. Created by hand, the bearing edges and inlays are formed as the craftsman responsible lays his hands on each shell on average around 20,000 times before the final stage. At the end of the process the finish is applied, in this case, in Craviotto natural oil finish
These solid shells produce an amazing modern sound - Warm low end frequencies with a balanced, intricate mix of high and mid tones. Add to that the open resonance provided by the 45 degree bearing edges and you have a killer sound that cannot be achieved by non bespoke, ply shell manufacture. These drums are un-matched in the industry and we are proud to be able to offer them.
