The Carmine Appice Splash cymbal is part of the Signature Series of cymbals from Istanbul Mehmet and if we do say so our ourselves the Signature Series is bursting with drummer collaborations that make for some super swanky cymbal sounds.
Designed in collaboration with American rock drummer and percussionist, Carmine Appice, this series was created with a view of delivering realistic rock cymbals that were bursting with power, projection and playability. Carmine shot to fame as the drummer and songwriter alongside the Rod Stewart Band, so when Carmine sets his mind to creating rock cymbals, you know he's going to deliver. Still as influential today as he was then, the Carmine Appice Series will not let you down, that we are sure of. This particular cymbal is the Istanbul Mehmet 8" Carmine Appice Splash and it may be small but boy is it mighty, for a small cymbal it doesn't half pack a punch. This cymbal offers a balance between sound and versatility and of course is still capable of producing a high volume.
All of the cymbals from Istanbul Mehmet are created using traditional cymbal making techniques and are handcrafted to perfection and this is another stunning example of the high quality that oozes from Istanbul Mehmet cymbals.
