Few snare drums have a sound and reputation quite like the Ludwig Supraphonic. This 1970s LM400 delivers the classic 14" x 5" combination of crisp attack, fast response and a clear, cutting snare crack that has made the model a studio and stage favourite for generations.

Its seamless, chrome-plated aluminium shell produces a bright and articulate voice with enough body to work across a wide tuning range. The 10 Imperial lugs and triple-flanged hoops help retain the open, lively character Supraphonics are known for, making this a versatile choice for everything from rock and pop to funk, jazz and studio work.

This vintage example features the distinctive Ludwig Blue & Olive badge, a P85 throw-off and an internal tone control. New Evans batter and snare-side heads have also been fitted, leaving it ready to tune up and play.

Condition:

• In Good Pre-Loved Condition – Fully functional, with no cracks or structural damage to the shell. The throw-off, tension rods and internal tone control operate as they should. The chrome finish shows age-related cosmetic wear, including light scratches and marks, areas of pitting and some small rust spots. These imperfections are cosmetic and consistent with a vintage drum of this age, with no effect on playability. New Evans batter and snare-side heads have been fitted. A dependable and well-presented vintage Supraphonic that is ready to play.
