The Gavin Harrison Protean series is builtin Germany with the goal of versatility and diversity, and Sonor have delivered just that with this incredible Snare Drum. Vintage meets modern innovation with this snare drum, it's crafted with a 6-ply Birch shell and a medium shell construction. The snare drum is jam-packed with features that modernise the snare drum and provide it with unmatchable versatility and diversity.
Sonor has brought back the timeless hybrid bearing edges and featured a 45 degree bearing edge, as well as introducing the new Dual Glide Snare System. The open bottom hoop allows the Dual Glide strainer to be more versatile and tuning is a much easier task.
The snare drum comes equipped with a REMO USA CS Controlled Sound, white coated, single ply batter head and a REMO Ambassador Resonance, smooth clear, single ply resonance head. The premium edition includes a unique Protean case which is manufactured by Hardcase UK. The case also contains the 'EQ' and 'Spacer' snare wires, all packaged cleanly in a wooden box.
