Aptly named the TreeWorks InfiniTree Double Row Chime does feel like it goes on for infinity, but in reality it is a four foot wide set of chimes that features 140 bars and has the ability to create one hell of an extended sweep of sound! The sweep seems like it never ends and this is one of the true qualities of this chime, when you're playing it the sound just seems to resonate and create a charming chiming sound that is recognisable as a TreeWorks chime.
One fantastic quality that the InfiniTree brings to the table is the fact that this chime is a two piece design, not only does that make this extremely handy when you want to transport your chime, it makes it super handy when you want to maximise the use of your chime! What we mean by that is each side can be used as a stand alone chime due to TreeWorks exclusive design of this chime, each side (high or low) can be used separately by adding another mantle, now that is what we call handy!
Quality is one thing we can certainly say without a doubt is a staple of TreeWorks Chimes, each of the 140 bars on this chime are created using an aluminium/titanium alloy that has been custom sourced specifically. Once selected the bars are heated to 350 degrees for a total of 8 hours to achieve a consistent grain structure, which locks in that clear, distinctive chime sound. To round the process off each bar is hand polished and attached to a braided composite of fibres known as TreeWorks CordLoc; a durable and hardwearing cord tie that blows plastic ties well out of the water. A solid hardwood mantle crafted using Black Walnut sourced from Tennessee is the base for both the cord and the alloy bar.
